Cannes Yachting Festival has announced it will still go ahead in 2020, making it the world’s first yachting show post the COVID-19 outbreak.
It will be the 43rd edition of the festival, taking place in Vieux Port and Port Canto from the 8th – 13th of September.
Of course, there will be strict health and safety measures in place across the event to protect all attendees. This includes adapting the usual event format across two marinas to best serve exhibitors space, as well as meeting health standards for all visitors.
Show Manager Sylvie Ernoult is working in full accordance with a General Health and Safety Plan (PGSS) which will include hand sanitiser distribution, compulsory face masks, enforced social distancing measures, strict control of visitor flow and constant cleaning of all public areas.
Extended opening hours will also ensure all visitors will be able to enjoy the 400+ boats on show, including sail boats, monohulls and multihulls.
