Aurora is thrilled to announce its successful partnership with Peters and May in facilitating the temporary importation of the NMYD 54 racing yacht, “Teasing Machine,” owned by RORC Vice Commodore Eric de Turckheim.
Following the necessary Customs and Biosecurity clearances, Sydney blessed us with delightful weather, ensuring a seamless discharge directly into the harbor waters.
Teasing Machine has exclusively arrived in Australia to participate in this year’s highly anticipated Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Scheduled to commence on Boxing Day, this marks the yacht’s second journey Down Under to partake in this prestigious event.
Aurora extends heartfelt wishes to Eric de Turckheim and his dedicated team for a triumphant performance in the upcoming race. With notable victories already secured in the northern hemisphere races of 2023, Teasing Machine is undeniably a strong contender worth keeping a close eye on.
A special note of appreciation goes to Craig Stanbury of Peters and May UK for his instrumental role in shipping Teasing Machine to Sydney.
As the excitement builds for the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, Aurora gears up for the next phase of this incredible journey. Preparations have already commenced to ship Teasing Machine back to the Mediterranean in early 2024.
Aurora is proud to be part of this exciting venture, supporting the global sailing community and contributing to the success of iconic events like the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. We look forward to witnessing Teasing Machine on the Australian waters soon and wish Eric and his team fair winds and a fantastic race!
